1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information from Google OAuth

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

  • Name: Your display name from your Google account
  • Email address: Your primary Google email
  • Profile picture: Your Google profile image (if available)

We do NOT have access to your Google password or other Google account data.

1.2 Files and Content

When you use MiniDrive, we store the files you upload, folder names you create, and folder passwords (encrypted) that you set.

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect basic usage data such as login timestamps and file upload times for service improvement purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Authenticate your identity
  • Store and serve your uploaded files
  • Enable folder sharing and password protection features
  • Improve and optimize our Service

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Where Your Data is Stored

  • User data: Stored in MongoDB (cloud database)
  • Files: Stored in ImageKit (cloud storage with CDN)
  • Passwords: Encrypted using bcrypt before storage

3.2 Security Measures

  • All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS
  • Folder passwords are hashed using bcrypt (industry-standard encryption)
  • We use OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication
  • Access to files is restricted to authenticated users only

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell your data. We may share your information only in the following cases:

  • With your consent: When you share a folder with another user
  • Service providers: With ImageKit (for file storage) and MongoDB (for database hosting)
  • Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

5. Your Rights and Data Control

You have the right to:

5.1 Access Your Data

You can view all your files and folders through the MiniDrive interface at any time.

5.2 Delete Your Data

You can delete your data at any time:

  • Individual files: Delete through the file options menu
  • Folders: Delete folders (and all files within) through folder options
  • Bulk deletion: Select multiple items and delete them at once

⚠️ Important - Data Deletion:

  • Deleted files are permanently removed and cannot be recovered
  • We do NOT maintain backups of deleted user content
  • Deletion is immediate and irreversible

5.3 Account Deletion

To request complete account deletion including all associated data, please contact us. Upon account deletion:

  • All your files will be permanently deleted from ImageKit
  • All your folders and metadata will be removed from our database
  • Your user profile information will be deleted
  • This action is permanent and cannot be undone

We use essential cookies only for authentication purposes. We do NOT use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
